5 Refreshing and Impressive Tea Mocktails

Mocktails are a famous drink all around the world today. Among them, tea mocktails hold a more significant place. Different flavors of Ceylon tea are added to give a more refreshing and eye-opening flavor to all its tasters. Here are five tea inspired recipes of refreshing and impressive tea mocktails just for you.

1.) Virgin Cucumber Gimlet

A green and healthy mocktail just for your indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz club soda
  • 4-5 slices of cucumber
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup(recipe below)

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients at first.
  2. Then shake them with ice.
  3. Serve in a glass over crushed ice.
  4. Garnish with a rolled cucumber slice of your choice.
Method of simple syrup

Add 1 pound of sugar to 1 pound of water. Shake and stir vigorously until sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Do not cook. Keep refrigerated.

2.) Tahitian Coffee

A mocktail and a coffee altogether in one single drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz orange
  • 1 oz simple syrup(recipe below)
  • 1 oz passion fruit puree
  • 2 oz guava puree
  • 2 oz cold brew concentrate
  • 3 oz honey syrup(recipe below)
    16 oz of ice

Method

  1. This serves two, therefore, divide recipe between 2 bowls and blend with ice.
  2. Pour into a glass.
  3. Garnish with orchids and grated coffee as your preference.
Method of simple syrup

Add 1 pound of sugar to 1 pound of water. Shake and stir vigorously until sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Do not cook. Keep refrigerated.

Method of honey syrup

Mix 3 parts honey to 1 part hot water, by weight. Shake and stir until syrup reaches uniform dilution. Keep refrigerated.

3.) Strawberry Fields

A pinkish delicious mocktail just for you.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz hibiscus syrup(recipe below)
  • 1 oz strawberry syrup(recipe below)
  • Soda to top
  • 3 ice cubes

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients except soda.
  2. Shake well with three ice cubes.
  3. Serve in a glass, topped with soda.
  4. Garnish with half a strawberry.
Method of hibiscus syrup

Infuse 4 oz of dried hibiscus flowers into 25 oz room temperature water for at least 6 hours. Strain, compressing all ingredients so that almost all of the infusion is reclaimed. Weigh the strained infusion and add the same weight in white superfine sugar to the infusion. Dissolve sugar thoroughly.

Method of strawberry syrup

De-stem 2 pounds of strawberries. Then blend them in a food processor until they are crushed up well. Do not puree them. Add 2 pounds of white sugar and let it sit in the refrigerator for about two-three days until a syrup is formed and all the sugar is dissolved.

4.) Winter Shandy

A unique non-alcoholic mocktail.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Spices
  • 1 oz Spiced Apricot Ceylon Shrub(recipe below)
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 spoon sugar syrup
  • 3 oz Nonalcoholic beer

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a glass with ice and stir to combine.
  2. Garnish with grapefruit zest and grated nutmeg.
Method of Spiced Apricot Ceylon Shrub

Place 5 green cardamom pods, in a pan and dry fry until toasted and tinged brown. Transfer to a large saucepan and add 1.25 cups of Ceylon tea, 1 cup of dried apricots, 3 cups superfine sugar, 1.5 tsp black pepper, and 0.5 tsp salt and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and leave to cool. Add the vinegar. Now you can strain and bottle the shrub.

5.) Lavender Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of water
  • Half cup of light-colored honey
  • 5 tbsp of dried lavender
  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, strained
Method
  1. Bring water and honey to a boil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Gently crush the lavender in a mortar and pestle.
  3. Add the crushed lavender to the pot then remove it from the heat.
  4. Cover, refrigerate, and steep for 2 hours.
  5. Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve. Stir in the lemon juice and serve over ice.
