Ingredients
- 6 tea bags Green Tea
- 5 cups of water divided
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice from 2-3 lemons
- 1/2 cup lime juice from 2-3 limes
- 4 cups pineapple juice
- 4 cups club soda
- 4 cups apple cider sparkling
For the Ice Ring
- 2 cups pineapple juice
- 2 cups fresh fruit of your choice such as pineapple, maraschino cherries, grapes, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, cut into bite-sized pieces
Garnish
- lemons thinly sliced
- limes thinly sliced
- club soda additional, as necessary
Instructions
For the punch
- Bring 4 cups of cold water to a boil and add the tea bags and set aside to steep.
- Add sugar and remaining 1 cup water to a saucepan and bring to a boil, stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and let the simple syrup cool for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags from the tea (do not squeeze the tea bags).
- Combine the simple syrup, tea, and lemon, and lime juice. Cover and refrigerate several hours until chilled or overnight. Keep the pineapple juice, club soda, and sparkling apple cider also in the refrigerator.
For the ice ring
- In a tube pan, scatter the fruit evenly and pour the pineapple juice over to cover the fruit. Place the pan in the freezer and chill until solid, several hours, or overnight.
- To serve, pour the tea mixture, pineapple juice, sparkling apple juice, and club soda into a punch bowl. Run hot water over the bottom of the tube for a few seconds to loosen the ice ring it should pop right out. Float the ice ring in the punch bowl.
- Serve by scattering slices of lemons and limes over the punch.
2.) Vintage Iced Tea Punch
For 8 servings.
Ingredients
- 4 cups strong orange pekoe tea
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- Diet sprite or sprite
- juice of 2 lemons
- juice of 2 oranges
- 1/2 cup sugar
Instructions
Combine all ingredients. Serve over crushed ice.
3.) Pineapple Iced Tea Punch
Makes about 3 1/2 qt.
Ingredients
- 5 cups water (divided)
- 2 tea bags (family-size)
- 1 cup of sugar
- 46 ounces of pineapple juice (unsweetened)
- 1 cup lemon juice
Instructions
- Bring 3 cups water to a boil, add tea bags. Boil 1 minute, and remove from heat, cover, and steep 10 minutes.
- Remove and discard tea bags. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved.
- Pour into a container. Stir in the remaining 2 cups water, pineapple juice, and lemon juice. Serve over ice.
4.) Bigelow Iced Tea Punch
In the Bigelow Iced Tea Punch, fresh fruit and lightly sweetened black tea with lemon come together to create the perfect refreshing summer drink.
For 8 servings.
Ingredients
- 4 bags of Breakfast Tea With Lemon
- 8 cups of water
- 1/2 cup sugar (more or less, according to preference)
- 1 large peach, sliced
- 1 cup chopped pineapple
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries(optional)
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries(optional)
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 lime sliced (optional)
- ice for serving
Instructions
- Bring 8 cups water to a boil. Turn off heat and add tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags.
- Add sugar, if you prefer a sweet tea punch, stir until dissolved.
- Refrigerate until cold.
- Add fresh fruit and lemon (lime) to a pitcher. Pour chilled tea in it.
